Botswana police say nine men of Botswana and South Africa origin were killed after a shootout following a CTI Robbery at a mall in Gaborone.From the statement issued by police it says.

Nine men aged 20 and 35 of both countries died in exchange of fire with members of the Botswana police service on the 23 February 2022 at Phase 2 location in Gaborone.This follows an incident in which 11 armed men attacked and robbed Security System Cash in transit motor vehicle of over P986-000-00 at the Main Mall.

The robbers fled the scene and were later on followed and confronted by the Police and exchange of fire ensued resulting in fatal injuries to some of the robbers.The Police have , in the process arrested a 30 years old Motswana woman who was in company of the robbers.Four pistols and a AK 47 Assault Rifle were found in their possession whilst on udisclosed amount of cash was recovered from the robbers.
