Foreigners arrested on cable theft worth R800-000

Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department have successfully arrests two suspects both are foreign nationals who are connected with the cable theft worth R800-000.Following the information of frequent power outage in the East gate Shopping Centre due to energy infrastructure damage.

The EMPD launched the investigations ,the intelligence driven operation results into arrests.The Executive Mayor of the City of Ekurhuleni Ald,Tania Campbell has commended the EMPD for their clapdown on cable theft following the successful arrests and further calls on Ekurhuleni residents to report cable theft when they become aware of incidents .
