AmaZulu FC head coach Benni McCarthy says in their generation as soccer players they had a mindset of playing abroad that's why there were South Africa players in almost all the top leagues in Europe unlike now.

Speaking to Marawa Sports Worldwide Benni said"I was very close to get a job in Scotland which is my dream to coach abroad.I had to start at home because I want to learn and to be better hopefully later I can go out to face a challenge.

"I also want to educate myself. Pitso Mosimane is doing well it gives us encouragement". When AmaZulu FC President Sandile Zungu contacted Benni McCarthy in 2020 for coaching job he was in Scotland.McCarthy took over Ayanda Dlamini who voluntarily stepped down as AmaZulu FC head coach.

Usuthu will be up against AC Horoya from Equatorial Guinea in the CAF Champions League match at Moses Mabhida Stadium ,Durban on Friday 18th February 2022 kick off is at 21hoo.Usuthu lost in their first match of the CAF Champions League group stages against Raja Casablanca in Morocco.

The club has signed Celokuhle Mbanjwa as a new assistant Technical Advisor in youth management structures.
